I arrived at the class at approximately 7pm, an hour late.

How to construct and say dates (Month, Day Number / Day of the Week and Year) in the Garifuna Language was discussed.

There are specific Garifuna Vocabulary Words for the Months of the year, but they are older terms and are not commonly used, so the contemporary terms for the Months of the year were discussed instead.

The format and structure of saying or writing dates in a Garifuna sentence was discussed.

We practiced saying famous dates in the Garifuna Language like March 14th 1795, which is the day of the Death of Joseph Chatoyer, a Leader of the Garifuna People in that time period and in the war against The British.

Other dates broken down included, July 4th 1776 and our individual Birthdays.
