This Music Festival event was a showcase for Music Artists and Performing Artists of Mostly Garifuna Heritage.

Xcstacy Band perform at 2009 Belize Fest in Brooklyn. Most of the members of the band are of Guatemalan Garifuna Heritage.

As it turned out, very few musicians performing at this event were from Belize. In fact, I don’t recall any Musicians of Belizean Heritage performing at the 2009 Belize Fest. I could be mistaken though as this was my first time attending the Belize Fest and was just learning about the New York City Garifuna Music Scene.
