Bronx, New York – IHCAP Inc (International Honduran Central American Parade) Board Members have announced that American Fitness Enthusiast and Fitness Instructor of Honduran Garifuna Heritage, Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez will be Honored at their Annual Central American Independence Fundraiser Gala in the Bronx.

Scheduled to take place TONIGHT, SATURDAY, August 24th 2024 in the Bronx, this Fundraiser Gala is designed to raise money to help organize, market, promote and have the Central American Independence Parade and Festival in the Bronx.

Born in the Bronx to Honduran Garifuna Immigrants (His Mother is from Triunfo de La Cruz, Honduras and His Father is from Santa Rosa de Aguan), Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez is a Fitness Instructor who created GarifunaRobics – Your Cultural Style Workout, an Exercise Program that merges Aerobics and Various Garifuna Dance Styles.

Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez created GarifunaRobics in April of 2018. It’s an Aerobics class consisting of various Garifuna Dance Styles.

Over the Years, as more people attend the GarifunaRobics sessions, GarifunaRobics has evolved into a significant Fitness Movement. In the past Year, Arnol has held GarifunaRobics sessions in American Cities and Towns like:

GarifunaRobics was inspired by his experience working for Hydration Company, Core Hydration.

Core Hydration organized many Fitness Events. During one, Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez had a vision where he saw himself being in front of an exercise class teaching Garifuna Style Dances.

Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez has been a Dancer specializing in Garifuna Dance Styles since he was a Pre-Teen.

I came to know of Arnol due to he being a member of The Chief Joseph Chatoyer Garifuna Ballet of New York.

Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez has been a civic minded Garifuna person for as long as I have known him.

He has often marched in Parades and participated in various Cultural Events through his involvement with The Chief Joseph Chatoyer Garifuna Ballet of New York.

So it’s no surprise that he is now being honored and celebrated.

Comedian and Actress Tiffany Haddish recently attended and participated in a GarifunaRobics Session in Los Angeles, California.

Also, Arnol was able to host a GarifunaRobics Session on the Grounds of Fordham University in August 2022.

Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez was also recognized by U.S. Congressman, Rep. Ritchie Torres at The 2024 Chatoyer Awards for Garifuna Heritage Month Festivities in New York City. In that Inaugural Event, Garifuna Men were Celebrated and Honored.

Mr. Arnol Guity-Martinez was also recognized by Elected Officials in City Council during a separate event for Garifuna Heritage Month in New York City.
