At this Annual Garifuna Tribute, assorted Garinagu gather together to contemplate, acknowledge and celebrate our Ancestors.

Whether it be Deceased Relatives, Friends, Colleagues, etc. This event serves as an opportune occasion to remember loved ones who have transitioned.

Having taken place since 2014, this Annual Garifuna Tribute mirrors the Black American Tribute to the Ancestors that takes place on the Beach in Coney Island, Brooklyn. That tribute in Coney Island has taken place for over 30 years.

I am not sure if the Garifuna Tribute To The Ancestors was interrupted by Covid-19, but it has generally taken place every June and is filled with Singing, Dancing, Music, Meditation and Praying.

Participants are asked to wear White and to bring food as an offering to the Ancestors.

The Garifuna Tribute To The Ancestors will take place on SATURDAY Morning, June 10th 2023 at 8am in the Morning. It is scheduled to last until about 1pm in the Afternoon.

I am not sure if this annual event will be postponed, rescheduled or canceled, Carrie.
I suspect that this annual event, The GarÃfuna Tribute to the Ancestors, will go on as scheduled.
