Bronx, New York – IHCAP Inc, (International Honduran and Central American Parade) have announced that Emerging, Dynamic, Young Punta Rock Band, Dynasty New Generation have been named Honorary Grand Marshal for The 2024 Central American Independence Parade.

Dynasty New Generation’s accomplishments, promise and potential will be recognized, honored and celebrated at The 2024 Central American Independence Parade and Festival Fundraiser Gala in the Bronx on SATURDAY, August 24th 2024.

The 2024 Central American Independence Parade and Festival Fundraiser Gala looks like it will be quite an exciting Celebration.
It is a Fundraiser Gala and Tickets are being sold for it. Tickets are $75 each and $90 at the Door.

Dynasty New Generation have participated in various Central American Independence Parades in the Bronx over the years, so in a sense, their being Honored at The 2024 Central American Independence Parade and Festival Fundraiser Gala is overdue and well deserved. ABOUT Dynasty New Generation

Dynasty New Generation are a Punta Rock Band originating in the Bronx in 2014. The Band currently consists of the following members.
Ron (Lead Singer) – Ronald Leiva (Guatemala)
Jay B (Lead Singer) – Jeremiah Ramirez (Honduras, Belize, Guatemala)
BL (Lead Singer) – Brandon Martinez (Guatemala)
Troubles (Garifuna Drummer) – Eaton Arzu (Belize)
Serg (Keyboard) – Sergio Bonilla (Guatemala)
Junito (Drums) – Edwin Palacios (Guatemala)
AC (Bass Guitar) – Alex Ciego (Guatemala)
Val (Drums) – Valentin Cayetano (Guatemala)
Jay/J Slime (Congas and Singer) – Jason Ellington (Guatemala)

These young men are all Garifuna Americans whose parents migrated from their mother countries of Guatemala, Belize and Honduras to New York City years ago.

Growing up in the Garifuna Culture and being inspired by various Garifuna musical artists that came before them, Dynasty New Generation have become the youngest prominent Punta Rock Band coming from the New York City/Tri-State area in approximately 10 years.

In 2016, I wrote a post focusing on Ron, Lead Singer for the Band. I noticed his talent early and tried to keep up with his and DNG’s development when I could.

The Guatemalan Independence Festival in Red Hook, Brooklyn
The Punta and Paranda Festival in Brooklyn
and
The Shrine in Harlem (African Cultural organization that grants upcoming artists from throughout New York City exposure and an opportunity to perform for an Audience that they aren’t accustomed to performing for.

Dynasty New Generation have also collaborated with Guatemalan Garifuna Women’s Organization, Hahigagua where they helped with bringing exposure to Guatemalans Annual “Traditional Pororo” Celebration in New York City. The Pororo Event, which takes place in Early to mid December, helps kick off the Christmas Holiday Season.
